Joannie is a youth author from Quebec. Born in Quebec City, she grew up in a large family. Among her many passions, children have always been at the heart of her interests. She is married and the mother of two young children.
Her career path includes a wide range of experience in the world of education: she is currently a preschool and primary school teacher, but previously worked as an educator in a school-based daycare center, as a substitute in a childcare center, and in a subsidized daycare center.
She holds a college diploma in human sciences, a technical diploma in early childhood education, a general university certificate in human sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in preschool education and primary school teaching.
Thus, from a young age, she was was drawn to the fields of education and children’s literature. For her, books and fantasy are a window on the world. It was upon starting her teaching career that she decided to write her first children’s book.
